Transformer Co. Expands Production Capacity with New Smart Factory
Transformer Co. is proud to announce the completion of our new smart manufacturing facility in Ningbo, China. The 50,000-square-meter factory represents a $30 million investment and will increase our annual production capacity by 60%.
Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities
The new facility features state-of-the-art automated winding machines, CNC core cutting lines, and vacuum drying systems. Production lines are equipped with IoT sensors for real-time quality monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Key capabilities include:
- Automated winding and tension control for consistent quality
- CNC silicon steel core cutting with precision to 0.01mm
- Vapor phase drying for moisture removal below 0.5%
- Automated testing bays for partial discharge and impulse voltage
- Digital twin integration for design validation
Meeting Global Demand
The expansion comes in response to growing global demand for power transformers, driven by grid modernization projects, renewable energy integration, and electrification initiatives in developing countries. The new facility will enable us to serve customers in over 50 countries with shorter lead times.
